Is it better to have loved and lost than never to hav loved at all ?

I have loved. And I have lost. The hurt, the anguish, the sorrow cannot be described. Nor can it be measured. But it can be counterbalanced by the joy of cherished memories. All the time spent together is but the same as time spent in heaven. Bliss, happiness, blind joy, and later.......
heartbreak, depression and agony. Wounds heal in time although some scars remain they say. But there is no wound. Just a million pieces of what used to be the human heart, shattered forever. Then comes a fear. The fear that one is vulnerable, the fear of bearing the pain all over again. And then the impenetrable shell of reserve. A reserve so powerful as to shield the shards of the heart and prevent them from being pulverized any further. This shield however, is not a healer.
A healer is required. From the dreary depths of a world bathed in sin, disease, hate and greed there comes a healer. She is very powerful. She banishes from your sight all that is dark and gloomy. Her first task is to tackle the reserve, which does get weaker and weaker with time. Once that is done, she takes the shards, melts them from the warmth of her own heart and moulds it back to the spirited heart that it was.
The sun shines again. But for how long ?
